CTE Healthcare Commission

The CTE Healthcare Commission supports over 35 programs in 25 schools serving over 5,000 students. Healthcare programs range from Emergency Management to Vision Technology to Nursing Assistance. The Commission is co-chaired by Dana Politis, Director, Community Workforce Programs at Montefiore and Ivy Mendez-Justiniano, Sr. Assistant Vice President, Workforce Development at NYC Health & Hospitals.

Healthcare comprises the largest sector of employment in New York City with approximately 590K jobs and the greatest area for growth. Healthcare refers to health-related services provided to patients in hospitals, residential care facilities, doctors' offices, outpatient care centers, private homes, and laboratories. With an aging population and increasing life expectancy along with technological advances, opportunities continue to grow.
