12th Annual Radiology: Giving Back to New York City Program with Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Center

Tuesday, May 26, 2015 - 8:30am

The annual Radiology: Giving Back to New York City program is a unique opportunity for 11th graders and their teachers to participate in a professional healthcare education event held at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The overall goal of the program is to inspire and educate students and teachers in available careers in healthcare with a focus on radiology, the role of imaging in cancer, patient care, and biomedical research. Students learn about careers in radiology, medicine, nursing, hospital administration, technology, and more. Participating students research and write an essay about a specific topic in radiology. The top five essays will be awarded with cash prizes. In addition, this year students will submit a 90-second video to compete for the opportunity to participate in one of five (5) paid summer internships. Only invited schools may participate.
