Engineering, Architecture and Robotics


Launched in May, 2016, the Engineering, Architecture and Robotics commission seeks to provide educational and training opportunities for students in a sector in which employers need highly skilled workers. The commission is chaired by Denise Richardson, Executive Director of The General Contractors Association of New York.

Priorities for 2016-17:

  • Provide postsecondary college articulation

  • Provide access to certifications such as Certiport, SolidWorks, and PLTW

  • Conduct Curriculum Review through the Curriculum Council

  • Increase number of industry partners

  • Continue to support student learning and internships through ACE and DCAS

  • Implement CTE Industry Scholars Internship Program where students can gain access to meaningful work based learning opportunities
