Engineering, Architecture and Robotics
Launched in May, 2016, the Engineering, Architecture and Robotics commission seeks to provide educational and training opportunities for students in a sector in which employers need highly skilled workers. The commission is chaired by Denise Richardson, Executive Director of The General Contractors Association of New York.
Priorities for 2016-17:
Provide postsecondary college articulation
Provide access to certifications such as Certiport, SolidWorks, and PLTW
Conduct Curriculum Review through the Curriculum Council
Increase number of industry partners
Continue to support student learning and internships through ACE and DCAS
- Implement CTE Industry Scholars Internship Program where students can gain access to meaningful work based learning opportunities
