With over 400 high schools in New York City, parents rely on guidance counselors to help make informed decisions about the best options for their child.

In the 21st century, career and technical education (CTE) in NYC provides rigorous academic and technical instruction to over 60,000 students each year, and boasts a higher graduation rate than traditional high schools. There are over 200 CTE programs in high schools located throughout all five boroughs, with students learning about careers across eight different industries including Information Technology (software and hardware), Engineering Architecture and Robotics, Automotive and Transportation, Healthcare, Construction and Sustainability, Culinary, Hospitality and Tourism, Media Technology and Design, Business and Finance.

Help your students explore what CTE options may be right for them.
